Employee Spotlight - Sona Iplani

Tell us more about you. What do you do a SCA Connect?

I am a Registered Migration Agent at SCA Connect. I am glad to assist people from various countries and backgrounds to achieve their migration goals for Australia. My major responsibilities include assessing, preparing and lodging applications for a wide range of visa streams for both corporate and individual clients. Equally interesting part of my role is to help creating tailored visa solutions for our prospective clients to meet challenges and face changes in the evolving migration sector.

What do you like most about SCA Connect?

Undoubtedly the work culture. My team truly believes and works towards its core values. They form the basis of our best practices at workplace and the way we communicate among each other and with our clients. SCA values integrity, sharing ideas respecting individuality as well as recognising every piece of hard work. This not only enables me to connect with my team but also with the multicultural clients and deliver my best. A happy vibe is what stimulates me to work towards my goal everyday!

If you could be anyone or anything for one week, what would it be and why?

I would love to become the child I was at 10 or 12 years old. I want to relive those days of endless desires, careless attitude and loads of fun and friendship! I think I have a child in me that keeps me lively, creative and feel optimistic when things go wrong. I cherish every friendship in my life and would love to grab a chance as a child to catch up with my childhood buddies for a week!

What’s your favourite thing to do on a Saturday afternoon?

Family and friends are top of my favourite list on every weekend! love spending my leisure time with them regardless of whether it’s an outdoor or an indoor activity. Personally, I love cooking my family’s favourite recipe and enjoy watching a sci-fi movie together on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

What would we find in your refrigerator right now?

Vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken, coconut water, dark chocolate and definitely lots of ice cream!

What advice would you give a candidate looking to join SCA Connect?

If you are looking to work for an organisation that believes in embracing the team, embody creativity and nurturing your skills, then you have made the right choice.

You can look forward to various opportunities to share your skills effectively, add value, grow and excel. Above all, you will be mentored by expertise to guide and inspire until you reach your full potential. Today, I look forward to each day at SCA Connect, by learning to overcome challenges with an open mind, knowledge and commitment.

You get to take three things with you to a deserted island, what would they be?

If I cannot take a companion along, I would take a boat, sunglasses (can’t do without one!) and may be an interesting book. These would be good to spend my time until I eat or get eaten up! I would enjoy the best way possible; who knows if something better is hidden for me!
