Jihad Bawadi
Registered Migration Agent (MARN 2318333)
After years of study, countless cups of coffee, and plenty of adventures, I found myself reflecting on all the lessons life had thrown my way—often through the eyes of others. I had just earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Business, but it didn’t quite scratch the itch I had for something more fulfilling. I kept thinking, Surely, there’s more to life than Excel spreadsheets and business jargon? Spoiler alert: there was.
I’ve always felt a strong pull toward helping people and making a real difference in their lives. So, I took a leap and dove headfirst into studying Migration Law. Becoming a Registered Migration Agent was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made—right up there with finally learning how to properly make hummus.
As an Australian-Palestinian, my travel tales mostly feature the Middle East. Shocking, right? But exploring my roots and experiencing life on the other side of the world opened my eyes. I saw immense potential in people who were highly skilled and educated but couldn’t chase their dreams in their homeland. So my passion and focus is on the skilled migration program. I thrive off the intellectual challenges that different cases offer—it’s like Sudoku, but with life-changing stakes.
My job as a migration agent is to decode the ever-changing maze of migration laws, so you can focus on starting your new chapter without losing sleep over paperwork. Moving abroad is enough of an adventure without a legal labyrinth to navigate.
I am delighted to be part of the SCA Connect team and look forward to contributing to our shared goals.
