Visa Processing Times

DIBP are facing a reduction in staffing over the coming financial year. With increased scrutiny of applications and less available staffing resources, this may result in longer visa processing times.

The slower processing times are already being experienced within the 457 visa program, with the current visa application allocation standard being 50 working days. This is significantly impacting workforce planning and resourcing for employers.
