AAT Abolished

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) is the relevant review body for migration and Australian citizenship applications.

In December 2022, the Government announced the AAT would be replaced with a new body.

Matters before the tribunal will be unaffected.

The Government has advised the new body is expected to be operating by the end of 2023.
