NSW Selection Process
NSW will adopt an Expression of Interest (EOI)-led approach to identify and nominate candidates.
Candidates selected for nomination will be those who demonstrate exceptional merit and align with NSW’s strategic priorities. While a nomination significantly enhances an applicant’s chances within the Department of Home Affairs’ selection process, it does not guarantee a visa invitation. All nominations remain subject to national eligibility criteria and overall program limits set by Home Affairs.
To ensure the integrity of the program, NSW will conduct third-party validation of applicant credentials through relevant sectoral experts or authorities. The NIV is intended for established professionals , not recent graduates or entry-level individuals.
