Subclass 189 Visa

In the recently unveiled Migration Strategy, the Government has committed to exploring reform of the points test visas under permanent skilled migration, aiming to more effectively identify individuals who will contribute to Australia's enduring prosperity.

The Government has indicated it plans to issue a discussion paper in early 2024.

At this stage the current Skill Select process is still in place. The Government held their first invitation for this migration program round for the Subclass 189 visa on 18th December. Most applicants receiving invites appear to be in the Health Sector.

With extremely limited places in the 190 and 189 visa programs, there an uncertainty as to when the government will hold future rounds, we encourage applicants to book a consultation to explore all of their visa options.
