What is the process when a sponsored employee decides to resign?
When a sponsored TSS visa holder ceases employment, it is important you meet your sponsorship obligations.
A sponsor must notify the Department of Home Affairs within 28 days of their last date of employment. The notification must be lodged by an immi account or email. We can assist you with this process.
The employee has 60 days from the date they finish working with you to:
find another approved sponsor to nominate them,
be granted a different visa, or
leave Australia
As an approved sponsor a business must meet several sponsorship obligations. Failing to do so can result in a series of penalties or adverse outcomes.
