Child Visa (Subclass 101/802)
The Child visa (subclass 101) is a permanent residence visa for a dependent child applying from outside Australia, or if the applicant is in Australia, the Subclass 802, sponsored by a parent who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. It lets your child join you in Australia as a permanent resident. Eligibility turns on the parent-child relationship and on the child meeting the Department's definition of a dependent child — which covers their age, study, and whether they're financially dependent.
