Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa (Subclass 191)

The Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191) is the permanent residence step for people who hold an eligible regional provisional visa, being the subclass 491 or 494 visa. It's the destination those provisional visas are built toward, and eligibility turns almost entirely on having genuinely met their conditions. To qualify you'll generally need to have held your eligible provisional visa for at least three years, have complied with its conditions, and be able to show the required tax assessments for the relevant period. Because the visa rewards a genuine commitment to regional Australia, the evidence of your residence, work, and income over those years is what your application stands on. We assess whether you've met the requirements honestly before lodging — if there's a gap, it's far better to identify it early than at decision stage. A dedicated Registered Migration Agent reviews your provisional-visa history and prepares your permanent residence application so it clearly demonstrates that you've met every condition.
