Subclass 485 Visa Changes

From 1 July 2023, Post-Study Work stream applicants with a select degree in an area of verified skills shortage may be eligible for an extended 2 years on their visa.

Under the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) Post-Study Work Stream, the visa validity for eligible graduates of listed qualifications and courses will increase, as follows:

• Four years for Bachelor's degree graduates, up from two years previously.

• Five years for Master's degree graduates, up from three years previously.

• Six years for doctoral graduates, up from four years previously.

This provides eligible graduates with an opportunity to gain valuable employment experience in Australia.
